Paint correction is the process of eliminating scratches and swirls from the surface of your paint's clear coat, in order to reveal a fresh and flawless finish.
For sound practise, thorough paint decontamination is carried out before any machine polishing is done. This is so that embedded contamination is removed from the paints surface before correction. The decontamination step is a vital requisite to avoid the introduction of marring or scratching from the paint correction process.
There are varying degrees to which Paint correction can be carried out. These depend on :
- The present condition/severity of the present paint defects
- The desired results alongside the budget* to achieve these.
- The amount of clear coat remaining on the vehicle
